Six more medals for Romania at 2024 European Youth & U15 Weightlifting Championships

In the Under-15 category, Alexia Diana won three medals in the women's 59 kg competition, according to a social media post of the Romanian Weightlifting Federation. She took gold in the snatch (76 kg), silver in the clean and jerk (96 kg), and also silver in the total (172 kg).

Also in U15, Mihaela Petronela Bosinceanu came fourth in the snatch in the women's 64 kg competition for 67 kg, fourth in the clean and jerk (83 kg), and fifth in the total (150 kg).

In the men's 55kg competition, Ion Daniel Dorobete also won three medals, in the Under-17 category. He won gold in the snatch (100 kg), bronze in the clear and jerk (120 kg), and silver in the total (220 kg).

In the same category, Narcis Papolti ended fourth in the snatch (96 kg), fifth in the clean and jerk (115 kg), and the fifth in the total (211 kg).

Also at U17, men's 61 kg competition, Romanian Matei Razvan Pirvu finished 7th in the snatch (93 kg), fifth in the clean and jerk (116 kg), and sixth in the total (209 kg).

Team Romania's medal tally so far is 14 medals, of which 4 gold, 7 silver and 3 bronze. At U15, it is 3-3-2, and at youth, 1-4-1.

Romania has lined up 19 weightlifters for the 024 European Youth & U15 Weightlifting Championships.
