Investors from all economic sectors to be able to interact with state through one-stop office
The state authorities want to continue the reform regarding debureaucratization by extending the single industrial license to all economic sectors, Bogdan Chiritoiu, the president of the Competition Council, told Thursday's PRIA Competition conference.
At the moment, the single licensing refers only to the industrial sector, namely the construction of factories, but, says Chiritoiu, we want to extend the project to the rest of the economic activities, namely trade and the provision of services.
"The idea is to simplify the relationship between the administration and the one who wants to build a factory. He, instead of going to various agencies, should go to one place, to this office, and this office should mediate the relationship with different agencies of regulation. It does not mean that this office gives the approvals, but facilitates their obtaining by entrepreneurs," Chiritoiu said.
The Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Tourism initiated an emergency ordinance regarding the single industrial license, based on the recommendations of the study of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development regarding the improvement of the business milieu in Romania by simplifying the licensing process in the industrial and production sector, carried out in collaboration with the authority of competition.
The single industrial license can be obtained in a maximum of 180 days, if we refer to those industrial activities with a high degree of risk from the point of view of the health of the population, the impact on the environment or security at the workplace.
The law approving the ordinance was adopted in the Senate and is under discussion in the committees of the Chamber of Deputies.AGERPRES
