Calin Georgescu: I have no trolls - I support strategy of peace, not strategy of war

The candidate in the presidential elections Calin Georgescu declared on Tuesday that he has no trolls who supported him, mentioning that he puts the national interest "first".

He made a press statement, refusing to answer the journalists' questions.

"I want to be a president who puts the people, his country, first. It is not negotiable - cooperation, diplomacy, elegance, honor, continuous diplomacy and the national interest first, with all the countries of the world, including NATO and the European Union. I was accused of wanting to remove Romania from NATO and the European Union - false, I never said that. But I said that I want to negotiate and I want to put the national interest first, because we cannot accept anything. Everything must be negotiated to the advantage of the Romanian people," said Georgescu.

According to him, the president of the NATO Military Committee, Rob Bauer, "asked all the business people of the NATO countries to prepare for a war scenario", but there was no consultation with the allied states. This "is a shame and an insult to all NATO member countries", Calin Georgescu said.

He conveyed that he supports "the strategy of peace, not the strategy of war".

"I was accused of having trolls. I don't have trolls. And, more than that, it's an insult to the 2,120,404 people who voted for me. Did trolls also come to the polling stations? It's very strange," Georgescu also stated.

He informed that he had requested a public media debate with Elena Lasconi, his opponent in the second round of the presidential elections, but the latter allegedly refused.
