Patriotism is the sum of the steps we take every day for Romania, from small things to big dreams, Minister of Research, Innovation and Digitalial Transformation Sebastian Burduja said on Thursday, December 1, Romania's National Day.
"'We did not shed so much blood to make a Greater Romania that it would not be strong and prosperous within its new borders, with love for all the good citizens of the state, with pride for the nation we represent, with faith in its historical mission,' said Ionel Bratianu, one of the leading founders of Greater Romania. Yes, December 1, 1918 was a miracle performed by people who loved Romania more than anything and raised it higher than ever before. Our duty today is to continue their work and strive every day, not only on the National Day, to leave behind us a better country, in a better world," Burduja wrote on Facebook.
He added that "patriotism is the sum of the steps we take every day for Romania, from small things to big dreams."
"Beyond the difficulties of the times, the light that pierces the darkness shows us the way. It's time for those who want to turn on the light in and for Romania to speak louder than those who want to turn it off. Because nothing can be built without hope and the belief that it is possible, that this struggle has meaning (the most beautiful of all), that nothing is in vain, that we are not inferior to others.
